Raghava Lawrence is directing the sequel of ‘Muni 2: Kanchana’ which is titled as ‘Muni 3: Ganga’. 

The comedy horror film features Raghava Lawrence, Tapsee, Kovai Sarala in lead roles and Devadharshini is donning a pivotal role. 

The ‘Ganga’ crew hit the floors long time back and as Raghava Lawrence injured himself during the filming process, the shoot was stopped for few months. 

Now, the team is working on full swing to wrap up the shoot and it is said that only two songs are yet to be canned.  

‘Muni’ series is considered to be important among the comedy – horror genre movies, as the success and reach of this movie paved way for lot of filmmakers to try their hands on the same genre.

'Muni 3' nears completion

Made on shoe-string budget, the horror comedy featuring Anjali and Srinivas Reddy in the lead roles created box office wonder and managed to get double returns on the investment.

Following the formula, director Raj Kiran is planning to come up with a sequel for the film. What's more surprising, shocking is that Anjali who pulled off the film on her shoulders, would not be part of the project. Even Kona Venkat who provided screenplay and presented the film, would be kept away from the sequel. Going by reports, even actor Srinivas Reddy who played pivotal role in materialising original Geethanjali may not be part of its sequel
