The New Stuff

Finally a good news on 'Uttama Villain'

The early months of this tear had Tamil movie buffs going gaga over 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan acting committing himself for three movies at the same time. But the wait has been pretty longer that expected. It is December and still there is not official confirmation on the release of any of those movies.

'Uttama Villain' is one of the three films which was expected to release first. Kamal started working on this film even before completing 'Viswaroopam II' the sequel to his 2013 magnum opus blockbuster. The film produced by N. Lingusamy under Tirrupathi Brothers, banner and directed by actor-director Ramesh Aravind went on floor in summer 2014.

The film was expected to release as a quickie in September. Beyond a point there was no word on the progress of the flick. Rumors were doing the rounds that the film has stuck in a financial trouble. Meanwhile, there were also rumors that Superstar Rajinikanth's younger daughter Soundarya who took over the chief post in EROS India International has come to rescue the film.

While we are still kept in the dark about the 'Kochadiiyaan' director volunteering to rescue the film starring as well as written by her father's good friend, we finally have some good news about the progress of the flick.

A reliable source to the film's unit has revealed that Kamal Haasan has fled to Algeria to oversee the CG works for the film. The source also adds that 'good news' about the release is coming soon.
'Uttama Villain' has a huge number of seasoned artists. Apart from Kamal himself playing a dual role, the film has Pooja Kumar, Andrea, Parvathy Menon, Oorvashi, Jayaram, Nasser and many others. Music is being scored by Ghibran.
