Nayanthara can also be called the sweetheart of Tamil cinema, as a lot of people, both in the media and public have been rooting for her success. Especially ever since her break up with Prabhu Deva with whom she looked so happy. She took a break from acting to collect herself and re-entered the media with Raja Rani, pairing up with Arya and Aarambham, Ajith's film.
She also had a run of other films since then, and Udhayanidhi's, Idu Kadirvelin Kadhal was one of them. She is working on her second film with this producer turned actor, titled Nanbenda. Udhayanidhi sang high praises of her and said he felt lucky that she was a part of his films.
Idu Namma Aalu is a pair we await to see on screen, Simbu and Nayanthara, they were quite the hot couple before Nayan was with Prabhu Deva. She is also acting in Masss with Surya, Thani Oruvan with Jeyam Ravi and Naanum Rowdydaan with Vijay Sethupathy, a film produced by Dhanush. Quite an impressive line up for someone who took a break, if I must say so.
