The New Stuff

Vanavarayan Vallavarayan Review

The film is all about two brothers Vaanavarayan and Vallavarayan played by Kreshna and Ma Ka Pa Anand who roam around the town creating a laugh riot. Kreshna has proved once again that comedy scripts work out well for him and it doesn’t seem to be Anand’s debut flick as he has scored so well. Kreshna is set on having a love marriage and aims at it.

He meet Monal Gajjar at a wedding and eventually gets her to love him through his antics. When Monal’s brother comes to know of this, he thrashes Kreshna badly. Following this, Anand decides to settle score with their family by insulting Monal’s dad Jayaprakash without knowing that he supports his daughter’s love. What ensues next forms the rest of the story. Vaanavarayan Vallavarayan is a complete comedy entertainer that rests on Kreshna and Anand’s shoulders.

Monal fits into the village belle role perfectly well. Santhanam, as the American bridegroom, makes the audiences roar with laughter. The camera work is superb and kudos to the cinematographer for bringing out the colourful village scenario. Yuvan’s songs are okayish type. Considering the comedy genre, it is okay to leave the logic behind.
